Do you have any idea how hard it is to pick paint color when you have no idea what the shade of floor is going to be? We haven't even seen half the furniture we ordered. So this was a little stressful. I think it works though. We're going with a soft gray shade and a pop of Aubergine; which is one of the shades in our new brand board.
In the end, Jd trusted me on this. I went with my gut and I tried not to waste any energy on the anxiety this could cause. I know myself well enough to know that this decision could have taken me days to make, but I didn't have that kind of time. I made the choice in 15 minutes and passed it to the contractor so I couldn't change my mind. The painting has now started. We're one room down and it looks glorious. I still don't know how the floor will look, but I feel pretty confident it'll be pretty too.
Next time your fretting over house paint, just go with your gut. Its working pretty well over here for me.
